Congratulations to all those candidates who have been elected to represent Thanet and Sandwich residents at the County Council. While it is very disappointing that more of our excellent Conservative candidates were not elected, we fully recognise that the people of Thanet have spoken - and we have heard.
I will continue to fight hard for Thanet and Sandwich by securing investment to deliver local jobs, campaigning to tackle the rising cost of living, cut immigration and reform the welfare system.
We are all extremely grateful to all those local people that came out to support the Conservatives by posting leaflets, making telephone calls, and, of course, voting. We very much appreciate your support.
In the coming four years I look forward to working with all the County Councillors for the betterment of Thanet and Sandwich.
