Broadstairs Blues Bash 19-21 Feb 2010

Organisers are putting together the final touches for Broadstairs' very own Blues festival, The Broadstairs Blues Bash Friday 19th February to Sunday 21st february. This is the second year the event has been held and it was so successful last year, that they have been contacted by blues fans and musicians from all around the world. "We had bands e mailing us from America and Russia, although in all fairness I don't I think they were all entirely sure where Broadstairs is." said organiser Nigel Feist. Amongst the 6 bands playing Friday night are the Marbletones all the way from Holland, more music on Saturday from 2pm and on Saturday night at Broadstairs Pavilion, supporting Broken Biscuit is Sam Kelly's Station house with 1999’s Blues Drummer of the Year, Sam Kelly. Tickets are £10 each and available now from the Pavilion in Harbour Street. On Sunday there is a free blues jam at 12.00 in the pavilion if you fancy having a go yourself with many of the artistes featured over the weekend.
